This is a wild climber (creeper). It grows easily in forests. It is commonly seen climbing on the trunk or branches of trees.
• Leaves :
The leaves of this plant belong to the simple leaf type. They grow alternately one after another, and also appear opposite to each other on both sides of the stem.

This plant bears small yellow-colored flowers.
• Characteristics :
Bedkicha Pala, also known as Gudmar, has light medicinal properties.
It is hot (ushna) in nature, astringent (kashaya) in taste and dry (ruksha).
The taste is bitter, and after consumption, the sense of sweet taste disappears for 10–15 minutes. One cannot taste sweetness during that period.
